EXECUTIVE PROFILES

Dr. Sultan Almorqi

Dr. Sultan K. Almorqi is President and CEO for Saudi Defence Electronics Company. Prior to joining SADEC, Dr. Almorqi was working at KACST as the Director of National Center for Sensors Technology and Defense Systems. He also served as Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs at ASED and as Radar Systems Engineer in KACST.

Dr. Sultan published extensively on folded waveguide resonators and has published and co-published 26 papers. He is member of the IEEE society for electrical and electronic engineers, the Communications Society of America (MCS), the Saudi Council of Engineers, a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Telecommunications Engineering and Chairman of Scientific and cultural Division in Saudi Telecommunications Society (STS).

Dr. Sultan was elected as the president of Saudi AOC Chapter in June 2013. In August 2015, he was appointed to be co-director for the Microwave Sensors Technology Joint Center KACST and University of Michigan.

Dr. Sultan holds a doctorate and bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Herriot Watt University in Edinburgh in Scotland. Dr. Sultan also attended the Program for Leadership Development (PLD) at Harvard Business School, an alternative to executive MBA.

Mr. Zekeriya Aksoy

Mr. Zekeriya Aksoy is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Saudi Defence Electronics Company.

Prior to joining SADEC, Mr. Aksoy was heading International Business Development for Aselsan’s Radar and Electronic Warfare business unit. He also served as a Senior Systems Engineer at Raytheon Company, where he worked on a broad portfolio of complex radar programs for domestic and international customers. Mr. Aksoy is a recipient of Raytheon’s Technical Honors award for outstanding individual technical contributions.

Mr. Aksoy holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Engineering Science from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. He also attended University of Waterloo’s Leadership and Project Management program.

Mr. Erhan Ulgen

Mr. Erhan Ulgen is Director of Operations and Business Development at Saudi Defence Electronics Company.

Prior to joining SADEC, Mr. Ulgen was an Account Manager in the International Business Development Department of ASELSAN’s Radar and Electronic Warfare Business unit. Previously, he was a project manager for a joint F-16 Aircraft Electronic Warfare Program between ASELSAN and BAE SYSTEMS in North America. Over the past 20 years, he has also held engineering and management positions at Siemens, Interbank, Turkcell, Motorola Solutions and Ericsson. Mr. Ulgen has lived and worked in Turkey, Italy, the United States and Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Ulgen has extensive experience in managing complex international defence programs. He is also a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Ulgen holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.

Mr. Alper Kivrak

Mr. Alper Kivrak is Director of Programs at Saudi Defence Electronics Company. SADEC is a technology company specializing in Radar, Electronic Warfare, Electro-Optics and other defence electronics products for defence, civil government and security markets.

Prior to joining SADEC, Mr. Kivrak was Radar Systems Program Manager at ASELSAN’s Radar and Electronic Warfare Business Sector. Mr. Kivrak has extensive experience in international business development and managing complex international advanced technology programs. Prior to ASELSAN, Mr. Kivrak has had engineering and management positions at Hewlett-Packard Belgium and RWTH Aachen Germany. Mr. Kivrak has lived and worked in Turkey, Germany, and Belgium.

He is also a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Mr. Kivrak holds MSc in Management from Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgium), MSc. in Telecommunications Engineering from RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and BSc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University (Turkey).

Mr. Naif Alrabeah

Naif Alrabeah is Head of Engineering for Saudi Defence Electronics Company (SADEC).

Mr. Alrabeah started his career as a Communication Systems Engineering at the communication and information technology institute in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). His research was concentrating on ultra-wide communication and wireless sensor network systems. He was a lead designer in development of the National Waveform. Mr Alrabeah is member of the IEEE society for electrical and electronic engineers and the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Mr Alrabeah holds a bachelor’s and a master’s in electric engineering from University of Southern California.

Mr. Bader Almegren

Mr. Bader Almegren is Head of Finance for Saudi Defence Electronics Company. SADEC is a technology company specializing in Radar, Electronic Warfare, Electro-Optics and other defence electronics products for defence, civil government and security markets.

Bader is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including accounting, audit, treasury, internal audit, tax functions, financial planning and analysis. Additionally, Bader has extensive financial management experience, including funding, cash forecasting, management and internal control systems.

Prior to joining SADEC, Mr. Almegren was Vice President of Finance and Administration for Al-Qussie International Co. He also served as a Chief Projects Accountant at Ar-Riyadh Development Authority (ADA). Mr. Almegren has more than 14 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Mr. Almegren holds a Master’s in Accounting from Victoria University in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In addition, Mr. Almegren holds two certificates in Computerised Accounting in an ERP System (SAP FI) and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) From SAP Australia Pty Ltd.
